Research Expertise
Atmospheric processes including: volcanic plume chemistry; marine aerosols; biomass burning; agricultural emissions; air pollution in indoor and outdoor environments.
Development of active and passive measurement techniques for tropospheric gases and particulates including HF, HCl, SO2, HNO3, NH3, H2S, acid aerosols.
Current applications include studies of the roles of natural and anthropogenic aerosols in modifying weather and climate at different scales, and the influence of atmospheric deposition on nutrient cycling and availability.
